Becoming Miss Maryland was an incredible adventure - choosing the perfect wardrobe, practicing for many weeks, completing paperwork, and performing on stage are all exciting elements of pageantry. But I had no idea the adventure that would follow the crowning!! Since being crowned in July 2010, I've thrown the first pitch at a minor league football game, rode a Harley Davidson motorcycle, and posed for a professional photoshoot...and it's only August!
This week I'm looking forward to attending a Red Cross Blood Drive to encourage donors. Next week, I'll cheer on my teammates at Bill Lawrence's Personal Fitness as they compete for an individual fitness contest.
I'm grateful to my pageant directors, Rachel and Naqueldon, who have allowed me so many opportunities! Can't wait to see what's next!
